If you’re in the Midwest like me, then you have a pretty substantial blanket of white outside your window, freezing temperatures, and “emergency-only” travel conditions. And, you know what that means: SNOWDAY! You should be sitting at home if your employer was thoughtful enough to give you the day off (if not, you need a new job). Here’s four things you can do today while dreading the return to work tomorrow.
1) Binge on Netflix from your phone to TV
If you don’t have a game system but want to stream Netflix to your TV, you can play it on your phone and watch it on TV. All you need is an HDMI cord and a HDMI to MHL adapter. Get the app for iOS or Android.
2) Finally beat level 65 of Candy Crush
EFF that level.

4) Catch up on some eReading
When the weather outside is frightful, curling up with a good book and a snuggie is delightful. If the holidays have left the cash tight, download some of the free ebooks out there Free-ebooks or at Project Gutenberg. If you need a solid reader and don’t like Kindle, MoonReader is great for Android and iBooks is good for iOS.
BONUS! #5: Sleep
The best thing about a snowday is sleeping in! Download the Sleepy Time app if you’re having trouble sawing logs and let the soothing sounds of campfires, beaches, or whatever makes you sleep, lull you away into a blissful snow-induced nap.
